Introducing Diesta 2.0 - the financial infrastructure to move money within insurance

A shift from managing complexity

The core philosophy behind Diesta 2.0 is simple: the system should do more of the thinking, so users don’t have to.

In earlier versions, power users were rewarded - but only if they fully understood the underlying mechanics. With 2.0, workflows are clearer, states are explicit, and the platform actively guides users through what needs to happen next. Confidence is built earlier in the process, rather than being something teams only gain at month-end.

This shift is visible across the platform:

  • clearer end-to-end journeys,

  • fewer ambiguous states,

  • and a clear understanding of “where is my money at any given time of the journey”.

Event-driven at the core

A major technical change underpinning Diesta 2.0 is the move to a fully event-driven architecture, particularly within the sub-ledger.

Instead of relying on batch-driven assumptions and delayed reconciliation, Diesta now reacts to events as they happen - whether that’s premium ingestion, cash movement, or document arrival. This allows finance teams to see issues earlier, resolve them faster, and rely less on manual clean-up work downstream.

The result is not just speed, but clarity. Teams can trace how money moves through the system with far greater transparency, which is essential in insurance environments where auditability and control are non-negotiable.

Embedded payments, built with care

Another key milestone in Diesta 2.0 is the introduction of embedded payment capabilities. Customers can now initiate payments directly through the Diesta platform - a significant step forward, and one we approached deliberately and carefully.

Payments in insurance are not just about execution; they are about controls, approvals, audit trails, and trust. Diesta 2.0 reflects this reality, separating authorisation from release, enforcing clear approval and signature logic, and ensuring that payment initiation fits naturally into broader finance workflows rather than sitting alongside them.

Designed for scale

Diesta 2.0 is about adding a clear user interface and hardening the foundations so the platform can scale responsibly.

A significant portion of the work behind 2.0 has focused on things customers don’t always see immediately: edge cases, resilience, performance, and operational guardrails. These are the areas that determine whether a system can support ten customers - or thousands - without increasing risk or operational burden.

This focus is intentional. As more insurers, mgas, and brokers rely on Diesta for mission-critical workflows, stability and predictability matter as much as innovation.

Looking ahead

Diesta 2.0 sets the stage for what comes next. With clearer workflows, stronger foundations, and embedded payments now live, the platform is ready to support deeper adoption and more complex use cases over time.

For customers, this means a system that feels more intuitive, more trustworthy, and more aligned with how insurance finance actually works. For Diesta, it means building the future of insurance payments on a foundation that is designed to last.

We’re excited about what Diesta 2.0 enables - and even more excited about what it allows our customers to do next.
